We have been instrumental in finding or providing the right regulatory hosting platform for a number of financial services companies. Whether it’s via our own FCA authorised firms, or via our contacts in the event a different FCA permission profile is required.
We provide two types of hosting, one via our Full Scope firm which has been authorised since 2009, providing regulatory hosting to more than thirty appointed representative firms. Primarily our appointed representatives specialise in corporate finance, M&A, Cap Intro and brokerage. The other via our AIFM (Alternative Investment Fund Manager) for fund management purposes, this company was established in 1980 and became authorised in 2001.
A regulatory hosting platform provides an opportunity for those wishing to carry out regulated activities with the appropriate FCA permissions, this could be prior to, the appointed representative firm obtaining direct FCA authorisation in its own right.
The platform provider (the host or principal firm), allows its regulatory permissions to be used by the appointed representative firm to enable that firm to carry out and provide regulated services whilst enabling the appointed representative firm to retain its own identity, ownership and control.

Regulatory Hosting – What costs should you budget for?
There are costs associated with becoming an Appointed Representative Firm or an Introducer Appointed Representative Firm these costs will normally include professional indemnity cover, we can provide introductions to help arrange this, regulatory exams if deemed appropriate, legal fees with regard to the actual set-up and structure of your firm and your product. There are annual FCA Fees dependent on your turnover.
We are totally transparent in our fee structure and will tell you at the outset all costs involved.
